A Heart of Giving

"Whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously. Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver."

How We Give

As we strive to be a positive direct impact to our community, we also believe in supporting those who are already doing  great things in this city. With your help, we are able to support great ministries and organizations that do an amazing job at loving God's people. Check out some of the  places that we (YOU) support:

Harvest Home transforms the lives of homeless pregnant women and their children by providing housing, support, and programs that equip women to become great mothers.

The Bible Tabernacle has been serving people in the community for over 60 years providing; temporary housing, food and clothing, a biblical foundation in Christ, spiritual guidance and counseling, educational services, and linkages to community resources.

The mission of Grace Diner is to serve the underserved in our community by providing diners with a free, three-course meal that is served with respect, in a warm, restaurant-style setting.

SPY's goal is to inspire change in a young person’s life. They engage, build trust, and provide care and support to youth experiencing homelessness, so that the youth, not their situations, define their lives.

Meals on Wheels West provides community based services that nourish and enrich the lives of our homebound neighbors of all ages by providing nutritious meals, an emergency preparedness program and referrals to other services that promote independent living and wellbeing.

Village for Vets fills gaps in critical services for homeless Veterans in Los Angeles County on their journey to stability and independence.

They prioritize programs that make it easier for homeless and at-risk vets to access a wider range of support.

Venice Family Clinic provides high quality comprehensive health care to families and individuals who might otherwise go without the care they need. Their mission is to improve the health of people and communities through accessible, quality care.

LSSSC embraces those in crisis, with short-term, emergency services. They equip individuals and families, with program resources to help them on their journey. And they empower people to break the cycle of poverty, live with dignity and become self-sufficient.

LBCM's mission is to HELP people who live south of the border, to INFORM people who live north of the border, and to ENCOURAGE Christian congregations in the USA to meet their mission opportunities to share the Gospel with Hispanic people in their own neighborhoods.

The Office of International Mission of LCMS is working with several Lutheran church bodies and missionaries in Europe to help our brothers and sisters in Christ in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Ukraine, Lutheran refugees and others affected by the violence.

Britt’s main role is to assist the local Project 24 director. Project 24 is a children’s boarding facility program with a child sponsorship program. They assist with creating partnerships between donors and the children in need.

Hope Kitchen

Hope Memorial Lutheran Church works hard to provide hot meals to those who are less fortunate and living on the streets.
